The only way Question One has anything to do with kids and schools is this: If it passes, it means some kids will be left to ponder why so many Mainers would choose to ban their parents from getting married? If it passes, it means the state of Maine will be required to tell these kids' parents that they don't qualify for the same rights as everyone else. If it passes, it means these kids get to go to school every day with classmates who know their families have been singled out for different treatment under the law. Consider the real consequences and real harms if Question One passes, and ignore the shameful tactics of the Yes on 1 campaign. The Yes on One activists are so adamantly opposed to the rights of gay individuals, couples, parents, and families that they will say absolutely anything in order to scare voters into banning marriage. | From:YesOn1Maine Views:2797 37ratings | |
